Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a shelter or physical location where we can meet the dogs?

No, all of our dogs are in foster homes. If you are interested in meeting a specific dog, a meet & greet can be set up with that foster family. A completed adoption application and contract need to be on file before a meeting can take place.

How does the adoption process work?

Please first check out our website (it is updated every time a dog becomes available or is adopted). When you see a dog you like, you can proceed to fill out an adoption application. Your application will be viewed by one of our adoption counselors and if you meet the initial requirements, you will be contacted. Please keep in mind that there are often several applications for the same dog and we work extensively to ensure the best possible fit for both the dog and the family.

How do you get your dogs?

Connections Pet Rescue dogs come from various sources, such as overcrowded and high kill public shelters, strays, and owner surrenders. Dogs are relinquished for a variety of reasons, including relocation, allergies, or lifestyle change. All surrendered dogs have passed our rigorous medical and behavioral screening.

If I need to give my pet up for adoption, what should I do?

You need to fill out an owner surrender form. Because we are foster based, we can only accept dogs on a space available basis, which varies by breed, age, etc.

How much is the adoption fee?

The adoption fee can vary depending on the age of the dog. Please inquire when you fill out the adoption application.

We have fosters in CA, WA, OR, and TX. We transport dogs from CA and TX the Pacific Northwest, and occasionally other Western states.
